My introduction to music came early in life. I started on piano, although I always wanted to play guitar. My parents talked me into piano to divert my desire to play guitar, due to their fear of "Rock n' Roll". I dropped out of piano after a short time, and just waited until I could save my own money and buy my first guitar at 16. I picked up a lot of licks from playing with other friends that played and taking lessons from some of the area's best teachers. I didn't really pick up bass until about 2 years ago when I filled in at 2 rehearsals for a local band named Mindset before they asked me to join as a Bassist. I learned a lot in almost 2 years with them, both good and bad.
My influences on Bass are Jason Newsted, Peter Steele, David Ellefson, and of course the late Cliff Burton. I am the youngest in the band so my influences are a little in the heavier side of music. I was weened into music by bands like Metallica, Megadeth, and Pantera, but I still love some good classic rock and older country. My bass style is still developing, but it is slowly coming into form with an aggresive pick attack and deep low end growl. I am a very easy going dude so if you see us at a show feel free to come up and say a word or two, I don't mind at all.
